DUBAG Group successfully exits its investment in Scheven GmbH
Scheven GmbH (“Scheven” or “the Company”), a German piping company which formed part of the DUBAG Group portfolio, has been sold to strategic investor Diringer & Scheidel Unternehmensgruppe (“D&S”) in June 2020.
Scheven provides the full range of civil, piping and engineering services for well-known industrial companies as well as municipalities. Against the background of DUBAG’s business principals to act as a solution provider for large conglomerates in the course of divesting non-core assets, Scheven was acquired in 2017 from Bilfinger SE. In the three years since its acquisition, a number of carve-out related matters have been successfully implemented and have put the Company on a fully standalone basis. In addition, several strategic and operational measures have been executed with the support of the DUBAG operations team. Today, Scheven realizes a turnover of c. Euro 25 million with around 200 employees and has a strong basis for further growth and sustainable future development.
D&S was established as a construction company in 1921. Today the family-run group with its head office in Mannheim has approx. 3,800 employees working in a technical and service capacity. It is one of several tradition-steeped companies found in the Rhine-Neckar, Rhein-Main, and Dessau-Leipzig-Berlin regions and also operates successfully abroad.
D&S will integrate Scheven into their group operations. With their longstanding industry experience they are perfectly equipped to continue the positive development of the Company and to set the course for further growth.
